I have really let this blog go. I haven’t posted much over the years at all. I really want to change that - so I am going to attempt to post something new each day that represents my mood - and also serves to inspire me. this is the direction I am going to take with this online journal.
To say this video makes me want to start shooting film is an understatement. this is impossible to achieve shooting with a digital camera.
The people over at www.cinelicious.tv are doing some really great things. hopefully the 8mm format stays around for a long time.
A love for photography and digital art has kept Tammy Brummell in the graphic design business since 1993, but a passion for creativity and self-expression enticed her into exploring the use of powerful textures and multi-layered images as an artist. “I try to find beauty in the little things,” Brummell explained. “Whether it’s an old coin or a dried up flower, I find inspiration in what’s around...

season 2. episode 2. Tokyo-born Japanese+American artist JUURI’s mixed-media work portrays the delicate beauty of Japanese women, expressed through layers of mixed media and strategic paint drips. Fashion, film, music videos, and literature all provide JUURI with inspiration for my surreal-looking subjects. I really wanted to focus on the detail of the artwork - and leave the audience wanting...
season 2. episode 1.
Born and raised in central New Jersey, 28-year-old artist Brooke Rowlands has been a proud resident of Oklahoma since 2002. Over the years she’s developed a homogenous blend of both contemporary and still life, often incorporating flowers, birds, trees and fish into gorgeous abstract backgrounds. I am excited to get the new year of film’s underway. The @1614 series has...

A group of Oklahoma World War II veterans loaded up and made the trip to Washington D.C. It’s called Honor Flight. It is a program that gets World War II veterans to D.C. so they can see the memorial and other sites in the D.C. area. The trip takes place all in one day!!! So it is a bit crazy. Leave for the airport at 4 in the morning - make it back home around 11 at night… a...

OK — I normally don’t do these sorts of test - but I thought what the heck. Here is a very quick clip of my brand new baby boy “Sawyer”.
This was shot on the brand new T2i or 550D, depending on what side of the pond you live on, in a really tough low light environment. Basically what were working with here is a light source coming from the television set - and also a...
