corporate film? sure.
My degree is in audio production. This takes me right back to school. I have always loved playing around with analog synths - actually owning a Juno 6. I love the Moog - and this animation is killer.

It’s really more of a trailer for an upcoming art event we are hosting here at the studio. The work features fashion photographer Jay Pack (J.A. TAYLOR PHOTOGRAPHY). Jay pretty much exclusively shoots medium and large format film these days - which I think is super cool. The style he is able to achieve with his photographs is very exciting. I did my best to try and create...

Beautiful music video from a twitter friend James Miller. I believe this is the first finished piece I have seen from the 5DmarkIII. The results look fantastic - although on the web I can’t tell a lick of difference form the 5DmarkII. James is the master at “lens whacking” - and I thought his technique fit this artist beautifully. The various light leaks he gets are just...

love the edit. and of course the black and white.
I have really let this blog go. I haven’t posted much over the years at all. I really want to change that - so I am going to attempt to post something new each day that represents my mood - and also serves to inspire me. this is the direction I am going to take with this online journal.
To say this video makes me want to start shooting film is an understatement. this is impossible to achieve shooting with a digital camera.
The people over at www.cinelicious.tv are doing some really great things. hopefully the 8mm format stays around for a long time.
“Once Again” by Elliott Sellers
This film really impressed me. I found lots of inspiration in this piece - and hope to get into a position to use some of these techniques in the future.
Word on the street is that Mr. Sellers and James Miller will be teaming up on a future project shortly. If so - look out! It is going to be ridiculous.
A love for photography and digital art has kept Tammy Brummell in the graphic design business since 1993, but a passion for creativity and self-expression enticed her into exploring the use of powerful textures and multi-layered images as an artist. “I try to find beauty in the little things,” Brummell explained. “Whether it’s an old coin or a dried up flower, I find inspiration in what’s around...

season 2. episode 2. Tokyo-born Japanese+American artist JUURI’s mixed-media work portrays the delicate beauty of Japanese women, expressed through layers of mixed media and strategic paint drips. Fashion, film, music videos, and literature all provide JUURI with inspiration for my surreal-looking subjects. I really wanted to focus on the detail of the artwork - and leave the audience wanting...
season 2. episode 1.
Born and raised in central New Jersey, 28-year-old artist Brooke Rowlands has been a proud resident of Oklahoma since 2002. Over the years she’s developed a homogenous blend of both contemporary and still life, often incorporating flowers, birds, trees and fish into gorgeous abstract backgrounds. I am excited to get the new year of film’s underway. The @1614 series has...
